When are you silent and when do you speak? You speak as soon as you suspect you are getting past the projection and getting closer to the truth. You might have to pray [ask] for discernment . . . the ability to see the truth from which is false. Like separating the wheat from the chaff.
Does discernment come from the brain or from God? It really does not matter so you can believe what you will. It is irrelevant.
As they say in the book of Alcoholics Anonymous . . . We don't understand electricity and how it works, but we turn on the lights. [One of favorite metaphors.]
The "big book" as it is fondly known is a book of wisdom much like the Bible and other such literature. [Literature is anything that passes the test of time. Something that is relevant throughout the ages.]
