Sol Samuels I have not posted for awhile. I am been busy with family affairs. A few years ago Frank and I kidnapped his brother Sol from a nursing home in Long Beach. He was angry about being in the home and he punched a fellow patient, so they had a warrant out for him. So we drove down, checked him out of his nursing home, drove as fast as we could to the bay area (he needed insulin once a day) and dropped him off at the ER. Before we left for Long Beach we tried to find him a home and they were all full. But a friend told me that by law the ER cannot turn you away so we went there. They did not want him and threatened to arrest me for abandoning him. I burst out in tears from the stress and just walked out after leaving my contact number. It was one the hardest things I ever had to do. The next day I called social services and we got him in a nursing home in Richmond. Fast forward, after a few years of going to see him once a week after church, we have had to place him in hospice. I am taking care of all the paper work and Frank is seeing to the emotional needs of his brother. We have turned out to be a good team. So the great adventure of life is over for Sol. He was a professional drummer who played with Ray Charles. Now he is going home to his creator. I know he will be received by the angels at the gate. God bless you Sol.

Sol Samuels is dying. We just put him in hospice last week. I have decided to create a blog documenting this experience with Sol. I put it under the title of "hospice." in the Acceptance Forum. Here is the link.susanpeabodyblog.freeforums.net/thread/117/hospiceSusan Peabody May 9, 2016
