SOLDIER O DIE
03/09/2018
A fortnight realize dawn the tempest blew cold Lo, signal the limbs divine remnant would spark Sojourn the brave the corridors of bold To rest not grieve nor mourn close of day But dream at hand faith’s ante we pray
Pray song of truth, such men, and tribute eternal light Footprint such paths hinder not in service But distinguish the word to elevate that noble fight Torn from the bosom of soul her memory not yet lost The advance to be free no matter the cost
What is to be, this thing, this casual cause For which men lay down, lives neither heeds nor pause For markers his temples in ruins they lay As stepping stones his memories to mark the way
Somewhere hidden truth be told solemn yet heard Songs o chattering sunray, stripes o chattering bird Choice driven vehicle alas majestic word Cosmic eyes in light beams reach back its self Soldier o die; reap love for tomorrow’s wealth
